Newbuild Vessel
IHM required at handover
The vessel cannot sail commercially without a certified IHM Part I. Equipment suppliers across all packages must provide MD and SDoC before delivery.

Vessel Acquisition
No IHM means no deal
Buyers require a certified IHM as standard due diligence. Without it, the transaction is blocked or completed at a EUR 15,000–40,000 price discount.

Flag Change / First Survey
Survey deadline is fixed
Flag state or class society requires an IHM as a condition of certification. No extension, no negotiation — the IHM must be ready on the survey date.
